What versions of Magento does Ultra support?
We support every actively maintained version of Magento Open Source / Adobe Commerce. At the time of writing, Magento 2.4.7 is current; Magento 2.4.6 and 2.4.5 are still in security maintenance. We also support legacy Magento 1.x installs that need to keep running on older PHP versions via CloudLinux HardenedPHP, though the official Magento 1 end-of-life was June 2020 and migration to Magento 2 is strongly recommended.
Can I run Magento on Ultra's shared hosting plan?
No. Magento 2.x requires Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, Redis or Memcached, Composer with full filesystem access, and a typical production install needs 4 GB or more RAM. What is the minimum plan for a Magento store?

Do you migrate stores from Adobe Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce, or Shopify?
Yes. Our free migration service handles moves from Adobe Commerce Cloud (just a re-host of the same Magento codebase), BigCommerce (we use Magento's built-in import tools and a custom data mapping), and Shopify (CSV exports plus a mapping pass for product attributes and customer accounts). The migration includes products, customers, orders, customer addresses, themes where compatible, and active integrations.
What about Magento extensions and themes?
Magento Marketplace extensions install through Composer using the credentials you generate in your Magento Marketplace account. Custom extensions deploy through Composer or by uploading to app/code. Themes (both Marketplace and custom) install through the standard bin/magento setup:upgrade workflow. SSH access on VPS makes this straightforward; you have the same workflow you would on a developer laptop.
Do you support Adobe Commerce (the paid enterprise edition)?
Yes. Adobe Commerce uses the same codebase as Magento Open Source plus Adobe's commercial modules (B2B features, advanced page builder, customer segmentation, and so on). The hosting requirements are essentially the same, though larger Adobe Commerce stores typically need more resources. If you have an Adobe Commerce license and want to self-host instead of running on Adobe Commerce Cloud, our VPS or dedicated plans work the same way they do for Open Source.
What PHP versions are available for Magento?
PHP 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3 are all available on Managed VPS. Magento 2.4.x requires PHP 8.1 or newer; the latest 2.4.7 release supports PHP 8.2 and 8.3. OPcache and APCu are enabled for production-grade application caching. You can switch versions per-domain if you are running multiple stores on the same VPS.
Is Elasticsearch installed and configured?
Yes. Elasticsearch 7.x or OpenSearch 2.x is installed and configured as part of standard Magento VPS provisioning. Magento 2.4 requires one of these for catalog search; without it the install will not complete.
